Verdara was built inside Nutreco (the world's largest animal nutrition company) because we couldn't find a traceability platform that actually worked at supply chain depth.
Origin Story
The problem we couldn't buy our way out of.
Nutreco operates two of the world's largest animal nutrition brands. Skretting in aquaculture, Trouw Nutrition in livestock. The combined supply chain spans thousands of ingredient sources across every major fishing region, agricultural hub, and certification regime on earth.
When EUDR came into force and FSMA 204 timelines hardened, we looked for a platform that could handle GS1 EPCIS 2.0 compliance, GDST key data elements, multi-BU data isolation, and sub-second ingredient tree queries at our scale.
Nothing fit. So we built it. Verdara is the traceability platform we needed. Now available to the broader food & feed industry.

Haru is our real office Akita. Her name means “Spring Beauty” in Japanese, which is accurate on the days she chooses to be decorative rather than chaotic.
She does not manage supply chains. She does not review certifications. She does not understand EUDR. She does understand biscuits, cable management, and the precise moment a compliance presentation loses its audience.
She is the benchmark for our brand voice. If Haru would find it boring, we rewrite it.
